The Catechism for the Greek Catholic Church
The conference dedicated to writing the catechism “Christ is Our Pascha” was held on June 20-23, 2006 at Holy Spirit Theological Seminary in Lviv. His Excellency Petro Stasiuk, Eparch for Ukrainian Catholics in Australia, New Zealand, and Oceania, head of the Synodal Catechetical Commission; Msgr. Rafaello Martinelli, representative of the Congregation for the Propagation of the Faith; and UGCC theologians and catechists from the USA, Argentina, Brazil, Slovakia, and Ukraine gathered to critique the draft copy of "Christ Our Pascha".
It is expected that the writing of the Catechism will take about four years. The aim of the Catechism is to help deepen the faith given to us in the Mystery of Christian Initiation. It is intended for the whole Ukrainian Greeek Ca tholic faithful all over the world. The process of writing the Catechism “Christ is our Pascha” has already included several stages of work, prayer and discussions starting with the blessing and approval of the Synod of Bishops. The aim of the conference was to review the whole draft text of the UGCC Catechism. The participants of the conference analyzed the text and evaluated it, made their comments, and suggested improvements. These suggested will be collated and given to the Bishops at the Synod in September. The Bishops will have a year to review and send any observations they may have before the final printing.

The only representative from the USA was Sr. Ann Laszok, OSBM from the Eparchy of St. Josaphat in Parma.
